kAfter the terrorist attacks of tourists visiting Baisaran Meadow in Pahalgam, Ashmir gradually returned to normal, killing 25 tourists and one local.
Local communities affected by decades of protracted conflict are gathering unanimously to restore Kashmir’s reputation as a safe and enthusiastic destination for tourists and stress the importance of the “Kashmir Riyat”.
Kashmiriyat is a fusion of lifestyle that absorbs the harmony and enormous mindset it comes with it, already at the forefront as the valley tries to move on from its deadly attack.
Kashmiriyat is a century-old tradition of public harmony and brotherhood followed by the Kashmiri people. Welcome guests from all over the world remains an integral part of this tradition. Kashmiris are known for their hospitality, which is part of the success of tourism there.
To attract tourists back, many businesses offer free services such as free meals, free accommodation and free tour guides to encourage tourism and showcase the natural beauty of the area.
Visitors have begun returning to Pahalgam and other parts of Kashmir, and many travelers have expressed their desire to continue exploring what is called “parishes on earth.” Local entrepreneurs and tourism operators have also begun a new campaign to attract tourists. The places where posters and placards condemn the terrorist attacks can still be seen around the valley. Dozens of groups came out to protest the killings and expressed solidarity with the families of the dead.
Social Media Sports
Around Dal Lake in Srinagar is a hot spot for tourists, and people can be seen welcoming tourists with bouquets. Social media campaigns and word of mouth advice help spread enthusiasm about the region, opposing negative narratives often accompanied by such violent attacks.
The road to perfectly normal can be long; however, the resilience of the Kashmiris shines as they strive to rebuild life and restore the charm of the region.
Locals are actively interacting with tourists and sharing stories and experiences that highlight the warmth and hospitality of the Kashmir Valley.
