Cuet UG 2025, which was scheduled to start on May 8, may be postponed, according to sources from the National Testing Agency (NTA).
On May 7, the Indian armed forces launched Operation Sindor, conducting precise strikes on nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and the Pakistan-occupied Jamu and Kashmir (POJK). The military operation is in response to the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives, mainly tourists.
With this development, people have attracted attention among students who appear in important national entrance exams, especially the 2025 General University Entrance Examination (Cuet UG) and the 2025 Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Advanced). Many candidates are worried about whether ongoing conflict will lead to changes in the exam schedule.
Cuet UG 2025, which was scheduled to start on May 8, may be postponed, according to sources from the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam is now expected to be held from May 14 from May 14. However, the official announcement is still awaiting. The NTA will most likely publish amended notices on its official website – NTA.AC.IN and CUET.NTA.NIC.IN.
With the postponement of the exam, the NTA has not activated the link to download the Cuet UG City Intimation Slip or admission card. Once a new date is finalized, candidates will be able to download their lobby tickets by entering the official portal’s application number and date of birth.
On the other hand, JEE Advanced 2025 will be held on May 18 as planned. The first shift will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, and the second shift will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. JEE Advanced's admission card is expected to be released three to four days before the exam. The city slip can be posted around the official website – Jeeaadv.ac.in before the exam date.
Students are advised to update through official sources and avoid rumors. While Cuet UG 2025 may be delayed, as of now, the timeline of JEE Advanced 2025 has not changed.
