The Prime Minister also announced the first 2 lakh rupees from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund (PMNRF) to the next relative of the deceased.
“It is very sad to lose life in an unfortunate factory in Anakapalli district of Andhra Pradesh. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. May the injury recover soon.
He added: “Rubia of 2 lakhs from the PMNRF will be provided to each deceased’s next relative. The injured will receive Rs 50,000.” Earlier, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu ordered a detailed investigation after the worker died in an explosion in Andhra Pradesh.
The incident occurred on Sunday in a firecracker manufacturing department in Kotavuratla area of Anakapalli district. Following the incident, Naidu spoke to the regional collector, SP and Home Minister Anita and directed officials to submit detailed reports.
CM Naidu said in an article on X: “I spoke with the Regional Collector, SP and Minister of the Home Affairs SMT Anita and ordered better medical services to those injured in the accident. I asked about the number of workers on site at the factory at the time of the accident and their current condition. We will urge them to investigate. I ordered an investigation.
Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Parliamentary Party Director YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed deep sorrow over the tragic fire accident. He also urged the state government to provide full support to the victims and their families. Meanwhile, the death toll increased to eight in the explosion.
