India and Iran’s NSA have a dialogue on regional development

National Security Adviser Ajit Doval spoke on phone with Dr Ali Akbar Ahmadian, his Iranian counterpart, as well as the expected Sindoor operation and India’s response to Pakistan’s retaliation.

During the appeal, Doval stressed Iran’s constructive role in the region and expressed India’s interest in expanding bilateral cooperation, especially in the development of the Chabahar port and the International North-South Transport Corridor (Instc).

The Iranian Embassy in India said he also thanked Iran for its continued assistance and support
Dr. Ahmadian confirmed that as two ancient civilizations, Iran and India share deep-rooted ties and huge potential for political and economic cooperation.

He stressed the need for rapid implementation of strategic projects and reaffirmed that bilateral cooperation is the broader interest of regional peace and stability.

Iran’s Foreign Minister has visited India less than two weeks.
