Delhi CM Rekha Gupta launches mobile registration drive to recruit seniors from PMVVY

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta tagged on Friday in the “Mobile Registration Movement” planned by Ayushman Bharat on Friday aimed at recruiting seniors to participate in Pradhan Mantri Vaya Vaya Vandana Yojana (PMVVY).Speaking to reporters at the event, CM Rekha Gupta announced that 70 vehicles will be deployed in 70 constituencies in Delhi over the next 70 days to promote registration for older people over the age of 70.
“There is a van here, and there are two computer operators here. Here, the car is registered for seniors over 70 under the leadership of Pradhan Mantri Vaya Vandana Yojana. There will be 70 cars in 70 days in 70 days, for seniors over 70 years.”
She added: “This is the 70-day period for the Delhi government to complete…these vehicles will arrive at every senior in Delhi.”

She further criticized former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for allegedly halting the central government's implementation of the central government's welfare program in the national capital.

“He (Arvind Kejriwal) blocked this central scheme and, therefore, the people of Delhi suffered a huge loss…” Pradhan Mantri Vaya Vandana Yojana is a pension scheme designed to provide social security to senior citizens and protect them from future incomes. Earlier, Gupta announced the centre, Delhi and local agencies’ “three engine governments” were working together to overhaul the capital’s faltering infrastructure as non-seasonal heavy rains exposed lasting flood water supply issues on Friday.

Speaking at the inauguration and tagging 400 E-Buses in the Kushak Nalla Bus warehouse, Gupta stressed that the morning downpour was a key wake-up call for the government before the monsoon season.

“The government and the government have been on alert since 5am. All DCs and officials are standing on the road… While participating in the program, I saw three points where there are reservoirs and traffic jams. … It's a triple engine government, today's Delhi Center, Delhi, our local body and our team stood in a team to improve the rainwater with a high level of enthusiasm, so much so that it's better, and it's another rainwater. The monsoon is an alarm for the whole system,” Gupta said.

Gupta said while wiping to former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal: “Kejriwal must not hear the sound of (thunder); he must sleep in his soundproofing room in Sheeshmahal.
