Congress leader Sooranad Rajasekharan dies

Senior Congress leader Sooranad Rajasekharan died on Friday (April 11, 2025) at a private hospital in Kochi, Kerala. He is a member of the party’s National Department of Political Affairs Committee.
He also organized services to the Party and its feeders in various identities. He did not succeed in parliament and state parliament.
He also served as state vice president and president of state cooperative banks.
His wife and children survived.

Born in Sooranadu, Kollam in 1949, he completed his education at the Sasthamkotta Devaswom Board, Changanassery St. St. Berchmans College and Thiruvananthapuram Law Academy Law College, and later received his Ph.D. from Calicut University.
Sooranadu Rajasekharan, who also served as journalist, also served as chairman of the Kollam Press club.
