India has not changed demand in 2 months, demand surpasses supply: Salesforce

Mumbai, April 15 (PTI) A senior official said on Tuesday that Salesforce, a company focused on customer relationship management, has not witnessed any changes in customer behavior despite rising concerns about tariffs.
Arun Kumar Parameswaran, the country’s executive vice president, told reporters here that the country is in a “endurance period” between technology and technology.
“From the demand perspective in India, we have not seen any weakening of demand. I have never seen such a protracted period (the demand is high). The demand for the market is far more than supply,” he said.
Responding to specific questions over the past two months has increased concerns about the tariff war, and he said nothing has changed.
“So far, nothing has changed. My point is that everyone is in a waiting mode. No one is changing,” Parameswaran said.
Additionally, he said, during times of uncertainty, customers will discern the returns they get from spending, but will not cut them.
Arundhati Bhattacharya, the company’s chairman and CEO, said no company cuts its spending on innovation, adding that making the business sustainable is paramount when they rely on technology.
The company witnessed its highest growth of 40% ₹9116 million in fiscal year 24. Currently, it has 13,000 people working in six offices in India.
Parameswaran said only those sectors affected by potential tariff changes may be more cautious about spending.
Satya Ramaswamy, chief digital technology officer of Air India, said Tata owned airlines do not want to reduce their technology spending at all and it may be seeking to increase the same costs.
Salesforce announced on Tuesday that Air India has adopted its “agent” solution to automate customer service processes.
The company also said a survey involving 100 heads of software development said that 92% of respondents believed that AI agents would be as essential as traditional software tools.
