Rohit will continue to play for India in one-day international competition. He expressed his gratitude to Instagram, noting that it was an honor to participate in Test cricket on behalf of his country and thanked his fans for their support. “It is an absolute honor to represent my country with white people,” he wrote on Instagram. “Thank you for all your love and support over the years.”
Rohit's performance in the 2024-25 season was challenging, with an average of 10.93 in 11 innings in eight Tests. Throughout his exam career, he has won 4,301 runs in 67 games, an average of 40.57 and earned 12 centuries for the national team. He took over as captain from Virat Kohli in March 2022, resulting in 12 wins, nine losses and three draws in India, while also 1,254 runs during his captaining period.
