India makes 5 major decisions after Pahargan terrorist attack

These decisions were announced a few minutes after the end of the Cabinet Security Committee (CCS).
India recently announced a major decision following a terrorist attack on Jamu and Pahalgam in Kashmir. This includes a temporary suspension of the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan in 1960. The Cabinet Security Committee (CCS) decided on the following measures: Foreign Minister Vikram Misri said: “Recognize the seriousness of this terrorist attack:
1. The Indus Water Treaty of 1960 will be held temporarily immediately until Pakistan reliably and irrevocably covers its support for cross-border terrorism.
2. The integrated inspection tower will be closed immediately. Those who have been effectively recognized can return via this route by May 1, 2025.
3. Pakistani nationals will not be allowed to travel to India under the SAARC visa waiver scheme. Any SPE visas issued to Pakistani nationals in the past are considered cancelled. The SPES visa currently has 48 hours to leave India in any Pakistani country.
4. In New Delhi, the defense, military, naval and air adviser of the Pakistan High Commission was declared Nova Grata figure. They left India for a week.
5. India will withdraw its defense from the Islamabad High Commissioner’s Committee, naval and air adviser. These positions are considered abolished in their respective high committees.
