Foreign Minister Vikram Misri confirmed in a critical step towards relegation that Pakistan’s Director-General for Military Operations contacted his Indian counterpart earlier this week, with the two sides agreeing to cease all military operations at sea and in the air, effective from the 1700 IST. Misri noted that directives have been issued to implement a ceasefire and another round of DGMO-level talks are scheduled to take place at noon on May 12. But U.S. President Donald Trump claims the U.S. mediates a truce between nuclear weapons competitors.
