India-Pakistan conflict: In the growing border conflict between India and Pakistan, flight operations have been suspended at 32 northern airports of border countries. At the same time, flight operations normally made some delays at Delhi Airport. In response to evolving airspace dynamics and strengthening safety measures prescribed by the Civil Aviation Safety Agency, Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) in Delhi issued a formal consultation urging passengers to prepare for potential flight schedule adjustments and extend waiting time at safety checkpoints.

Although the airport’s operations remain smooth, passengers may experience delays due to stricter protocols, according to Delhi Airport Consulting. Passengers are strongly encouraged to remain informed through their respective airline communication channels and to carefully follow all luggage guidelines. For real-time updates, passengers are advised to monitor the Delhi Airport website or the official communications platform of their airlines.

To mitigate interference, the airport recommends that all passengers arrive before the scheduled departure event and cooperate fully with safety and airline staff. “We recommend verifying flight status through the official Delhi Airport website or directly through your airline,” the consulting company wrote.

Officials also warned of reluctance to spread misinformation, urging the public to rely exclusively on official sources for updates and avoid sharing of unverified content.

The consultation thanks passengers for their cooperation and support as airport authorities in coordination with all stakeholders to maintain a safe and effective travel environment.
