India – Parker tensions: Indian news after Defense Minister Rajnath Singh speaks with us Pete Hegseth

Consequences of Pahalgam attack: Tensions between India and Pakistan have been intensified after the Pahalgam terrorist attack, and India has been in contact with the United States. The Defense Department said Secretary of Defense Rajnath Singh made a phone call with U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.

Terrorists were seen killing 26 people, mainly tourists, in the Pahargam terrorist attacks in Jamu and Kashmir on April 22. Although India is developing a retaliatory action plan against terrorists and their sponsors, the Pakistani military continues to establish its borders on India and deploys air defense and artillery units at long-term locations.

Directors of Indian and Pakistan’s military operations spoke on the hotline on Tuesday about Pakistan’s unprovoked ceasefire violations, defense sources said on Wednesday. They said India warned Pakistan not to make unwarranted violations of the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LOC) and international borders.

The Indian army has effectively responded to the Pakistani army’s unreasonable small arms (LOC) at the Line of Control (LOC). Officials said the Army quickly responded to the ceasefire violation in the area opposite Kupwara and Jammu and Kashmir (JK) from the evening of April 27-28.

On Wednesday, Foreign Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had a telephone conversation with his U.S. counterpart Marco Rubio and discussed the recent terrorist attacks in Jamu and Pahalgam in Kashmir. Jaishankar said the perpetrators, supporters and planners of the attack must be brought to justice.

During the talks, Rubio reiterated his commitment to cooperation with terrorism with the United States. U.S. State Department spokesman Tammy Bruce said in a statement that Rubio was saddened by the life of Pahalgam’s “terrorist attacks” and encouraged India to work with Pakistan to “relieve tensions” and maintain peace and security in South Asia.

The negotiations between the two leaders are as the ceasefire violations along Jamu’s Line of Control (LOC) increased following Pakistan’s brutal attacks in Pahargam on April 22, with terrorists killing 26 people and wounding many others. The Indian army effectively responded to the unprovoked small arms that the Pakistani army fired in LOC.

India has taken several measures against Pakistan in support of cross-border terrorism, including putting the Indian Water Treaty on hold and closing Attari’s comprehensive check post. India has also decided to cut its strength in high-level commissions. Earlier, on April 29, Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over a meeting of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Defense Chief Anil Chauhan and three service directors. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval also attended the meeting.

The meeting took place a few days after the terrorist attacks on the Cabinet Security Committee in Pahargam on April 23. Government sources said Prime Minister Modi confirmed that India’s strike on terrorism is India’s determination. Sources said Prime Minister Modi expressed full confidence and confidence in the professional capabilities of the Indian armed forces. They said Prime Minister Modi said the Indian armed forces had complete freedom to completely determine the mode, goal and timing of India’s response.

The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Modi and was attended by Chief Army Director Upendra Dwivedi, Chief Navy Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi and Air Force Chairman Amar Preet Singh on Tuesday. (with ANI input)
