India plans military operations in the next 24-36 hours: Pakistan

Islamabad: Pakistan claimed on Wednesday that India is planning to plan military action against it within the next 24-36 hours, warning New Delhi would have consequences. Government sources said the statement was issued for hours until Prime Minister Narendra Modi told the Supreme Defence Force on Tuesday that the armed forces had “complete freedom of movement” to determine this model, the target and timing of India’s response to the Pahargam terrorist attacks.

Tensions between the two countries intensified after the Pahargam terrorist attack last week killed 26 people. Modi once said that India will “identify, track and punish” terrorists and their “supporters” attacks and hunt down killers as India strengthens its diplomatic offensive against Pakistan.

Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said the Indian government is preparing to take military action against Pakistan based on “unfounded and planned allegations” of Pakistan’s recent involvement in the Pahalgam terrorist attack.

According to the statement, the minister said Pakistan itself is a victim of terrorism and always condemns it in all forms and manifestations. He added that Islamabad was a “credible, transparent and independent” investigation provided by a neutral board of experts and accused India of evading the investigation and choosing a confrontational path.

Pakistan urged the international community to remain active warning that any military adventurism in India would “responsible and decisively” and that “the responsibility for any escalation spiral and its consequences would be entirely lie in India”.

Earlier, India announced a series of measures against Pakistan, including expelling Pakistan’s military annexes, suspending the 1960 Indus Water Treaty, revoking all visas issued to Pakistani nationals on April 27 and immediately closing the Attari Landansit post.
