Vice President JD Vance became the last major figure to meet with Pope Francis before his death on Monday, passing away last Monday.
During Easter weekend, the Vice President worked in Rome for several days.
During his trip, he visited the Vatican and held a private meeting with the pope, where the two exchanged joy.
Vance greeted the 88-year-old pope and told him how long he would pray for him.
Pope Francis again provided many gifts to Vance, including the Vatican tie and the Vice President’s children – to visit with him.
It was one of the last official meetings held by Pope Francis, and after news came out of news that the Catholic Church had passed, some began posting vice presidents to the trolls.
