India, UK signs free trade agreement, Prime Minister Modi calls it a “historical milestone”

Together with the FTA, the two countries also signed a double donation convention.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on X (formerly Twitter) that India and the UK have successfully signed an ambitious and mutually beneficial free trade agreement (FTA), as well as a double donation convention, amid historic milestones. He added that these landmark agreements will further deepen our comprehensive strategic partnership and catalyze trade, investment, growth, job creation and innovation in both of our economies.
