Meet Bollywood stars who surpassed Vijay Mallya to build India’s third largest beer brand worth Rs 10 billion

The Bollywood star is named after his hometown in the western region of Sikkim.

Many Bollywood veterans have started their companies after a successful career in the film industry. They have built big brands in different fields. Danny Denzongpa is such an actor-turned-entrepreneur, known for some of the hits in the Hindi film industry. He is also popular for his role as a villain. Today, Danny runs Yuksom Breweries, the 10 billion beer empire. He reportedly surpassed Vijay Mallya to establish Yuksom Breweries, India’s third largest beer brand.

Danny founded the Yuksom brewery in South Sikkim in 1987. The Bollywood star is named after his hometown in the western region of Sikkim. Denzong Breweries Pvt. The Greenfield project was established in Odisha in 2005. It subsequently acquired Rhino Agency Ltd in Assam in 2009. According to the company’s website, the three breweries have a combined annual production capacity of more than 680,000 hl per year. The company grew into the largest brewery in northeastern India.

Danny was born in 1948 in Phintso Denzongpa in Sikkim and started her own performance journey with the film Zaroorat in 1971. His career gained momentum quickly and he became one of Bollywood’s most iconic opponents. He has appeared in many successful films including Love Story, Gatak, Agniepas, Kuda Garva, Clantiville and China Gate. Even if he is no longer active on the big screen, his fans continue to appreciate his past performances.
