U.S. President Donald Trump mocked “panicked” China on Friday, saying they “came wrong” after Beijing retaliated against new U.S. tariffs.
“China made a mistake, they panic – one thing they can’t afford!” Trump wrote on social media truth social.
Earlier, China announced a relocation of similar taxes on Trump on Chinese goods, levied an additional 34% on U.S. imports.
Beijing has also announced export controls for certain rare earth metals, designed to hit the U.S. defense, computer and smartphone industries.
PTI reported that tariffs on all products imported from the United States will be imposed from April 10 from April 10.
The news comes after the United States decided to impose “reciprocal tariffs” on China’s exports to the United States. The Chinese committee said the move violated international trade rules.
According to the state-owned Xinhua News Agency, it further undermines China’s legitimate rights and interests and is described as a typical unilateral bullying.
