Indian troops successfully carried out “Teesta Prahar” within the range of Teesta field fire

The exercise witnesses the active participation of key combat and support weapons, including infantry, artillery, armored forces, mechanized infantry, paralatinate forces, army aviation, engineers and signals.
A key highlight of the exercise is the deployment and verification of newly incident next-generation weapon systems, military platforms and advanced battlefield technologies, part of the Indian Army’s emphasis on modernization.
Furthermore, the exercise emphasizes joint, synergy and seamless coordination, enhancing the ability of the army to operate rapidly and efficiently in a variety of terrain and adverse weather conditions. The statement further said it features tactical exercises, combat rehearsals and adaptive manipulations, aiming to refine the response to dynamic combat scenarios.
According to the Ministry of Defense, earlier today, the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) successfully developed an indigenous nanoporous multilayer polymer membrane for high-pressure seawater desalination.
The Defense Materials Store and Research and Development Agency (DMSRDE) is a Kanpur-based DRDO Laboratory that has developed technology for desalination plants of Indian Coast Guard (ICG) vessels in accordance with its operational requirements to address the serious challenges of stability in brine when exposed to chloride ions. The development was completed in a record eight months. According to the Mod statement, DMSRDE and ICG successfully conducted preliminary technical trials in the existing desalination plant of the ICG Maritime Patrol Vessel (OPV). The initial safety and performance tests of the polymeric membrane were completely satisfactory. The ICG will provide a final operational clearance after 500 hours of operational testing. Apparently, the unit is being tested and tried on OPV. After some modifications, the membrane will be a boon for desalinated seawater in coastal areas. This is another step in DMSRDE’s journey in Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
