Indian Water Treaty Will Be Shelved: Source

New Delhi: Government sources said on Saturday that India’s punitive measures against Pakistan include putting the Indian Waters Treaty on the shelves after the Pahargan terrorist attack.

Sources said the measures announced by India against Pakistan on April 23 will remain in effect.

Sources added that terrorism will not be punished and India’s determination to terrorism remains firm.

Sources said that regarding understanding between the two sides to end hostilities, Pakistan said it was a bilateral arrangement.

U.S. President Donald Trump was the first to announce an understanding between India and Pakistan and praised it for it.

The President of the United States announced in a post about the Truth Society: “After a long talk involving the United States, I am pleased to announce that India and Pakistan have agreed to a full and immediate ceasefire.”

“Congratulations to both countries on their use of common sense and great intelligence. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump added.
