More than 9,000 trucks resume services in Mysolu after strike

As trucks in Mysoru set off on Thursday night to resume cargo transport operations, which has stopped statewide strikes as truckers conduct “successful negotiations” with the government.
Mysore Lorry Owners Association President Kodanandaram, who met with the transport minister in Bengaluru, said the strike had been cancelled after the government’s assurances for truck drivers demanded.
He said more than 9,000 trucks have left the roads in Mysoru due to the strike and the trucks will resume service. The strike affected the livelihoods of people relying on the truck industry, which has about 18,000 workers, including drivers and assistants in Musulu.
“Frequency transportation will remain stable starting on Friday,” he added.
