On Friday (4 April 2025), a fire broke out in the second block of the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat in the second block of the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat. So far, no casualties have been reported. The degree of damage remains to be determined.
According to information, the fire started in the area where the battery was stored. After receiving the message, the SPF staff immediately reminded the fire safety team. Fire safety personnel arrived at the scene and managed to control the flames.

The second block of the Secretariat is home to Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav, Civil Supply Minister Nadendla Manohar, Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh, Donation Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, Municipal Department Minister Narayana and Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha.
There were no staff in the office at the time as the fire broke out in the early hours of the morning. More details about this event are not clear.
