Influential Orry, 7 others booked “Eating Alcohol” at J&K’s Vaishno Devi Pilgrimage Base Camp

Police (March 17, 2025 (March 17, 2025) said that social media influencer Orhan Awatramani, allegedly the base camp of a pilgrimage at a hotel in Katra, was one of eight people who had been booked for drinking at a hotel in Katra.

Jamu and Kashmir police said in a statement that eight people were registered for “violating land laws” and a team was set up to make them “harm people’s emotions”.

The Katra Police Department received a complaint on March 15 that some guests staying in hotels were found to have violated the rules for drinking on the house. Eight people were then FIR-registered.

“Orhan Awatramani, Darshan Singh, Parth Raina, Ritick Singh, Rashi Dutta, Rakshita Bhogal, Shagun Kohli and Anastasila Arzamaskina consumed liquor on the hotel premises despite being told that alcohol and non-vegetarian food were not allowed inside the property due to its proximity to Mata Vaishno Devi shrine,” a police officer said, citing the
