“Investigation as soon as possible”: China after the “International Investigation” statement by Parker’s Defense Secretary | India News

Pahalgam terrorist attack: China said it supports investigating the recent Jamuk and Kashmir terrorist attacks and hopes that India and China will exercise restraint.

In the April 22 Pahalgam terrorist attack, 26 tourists were killed and several others were injured. The clothing (TRF) associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba initially claimed responsibility for the attack. However, the TRF later issued a statement about its online handling and denied its involvement in the terrorist attack.

A Chinese MFA spokesperson said in a post on social media platform X that they welcome any measures that will help cool down the situation.

“In the recent attacks in Kashmir, China welcomes any measures that will help cool down and support a legitimate investigation as soon as possible,” the spokesperson wrote in the post.

The post added: “As neighbors of India and Pakistan, China hopes that both sides can exercise constraints, work in the same direction, correctly handle relevant differences through dialogue and consultation, and jointly maintain peace and stability in the region.”

In the interview, the Pakistani Defense Minister asked to establish an “international investigation team” with China, Russia or Western countries.

“I think Russia or China, even Western countries can play a very, very active role in this crisis, and even set up an investigation team that should be assigned to investigate whether India or Mr. Modi (Prime Minister Narendra Modi) is lying or he is telling the truth,” he said.

After the attack, Foreign Minister Vikram Misri informed the Cabinet Security Committee (CCS) of various measures decided to implement on April 23.
