An official said Sunday that a dog bites on the body of an accident victim at a government hospital in Nalmadapram in Madhya Pradesh prompted authorities to order an investigation. The incident occurred at a regional hospital Friday night, the official said.
The body of Nikhil Chourasia (21) died in an accident near Palanpur and was retained for a post-mortem, said Sudhir Vijayvargiya, a civil surgeon at the hospital. He said an investigation will be conducted, a notice of reasons will be issued to security personnel and measures will be taken to improve the safety of the facilities.
Ankit, the deceased’s cousin, said he walked out to drink water and saw a dog escape a piece of meat as he returned. He said the matter filed a complaint, accusing the hospital of negligence in management.
