The 2025 Indian Premier League welcomes a unique new member of its team – Robot Camera Dog.

In a video posted by IPL on social media, former New Zealand cricketer and commentator Danny Morrison officially held the new broadcast companion before the Delhi capital and Mumbai Indians match at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 13.

Danny Morrison provides some interesting information about robot dogs. “It can walk, run, greet, but most importantly, it has a pet vision,” he clarified.

In the video, the robot dog stands on its hind legs and uses its limbs to form a mechanical heart. Morrison said playfully, “Don’t be too close!”

The robot immediately caught everyone’s attention, surpriseing the athletes and spectators.

Although Axar Patel in Delhi seems confused, Mumbai Indian Hardik Pandya is excited to say hello to the robot in the video. Mumbai Indian player Reece Topley looked shocked when the robot dog stood up.
