The official handle of IPL announced the news on its official X (formerly known as Twitter) handle, and wrote: “TATA IPL 2025 Action will resume on May 17. The remaining league phase will be held in 6 venues. The highly anticipated final will be held on June 3.”

In a media consultation released by IPL, it was learned that the rest of season 18 will be held at six venues. “The Council of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) is pleased to announce the restoration of Tata IPL 2025. After extensive consultations with government and security agencies and extensive consultations with all key stakeholders, the Board decided to continue the remaining season. Starting on May 17, 2025, a total of 17 games will be played on 6 fields and the final result will be achieved in the final on June 3, 2025. The first qualifier will be held on May 29, while the second qualifier will be held on June 1. The knockout round will be held on May 30 and the long-awaited final will be held on June 3.
