IPL 2025: Mohammed Shami joins SRH and says “Let’s Play with Fire”

Speedster performed well, completing India’s successful 2025 championship trophy prize, becoming the second highest ticket inspector with nine scalps.
Shami missed the 2024 season due to an injury requiring surgery and prolonged recovery. Over the past year, he made a comeback, representing Bangladesh before returning to the national team.
Once the Gujarat Titans released him before the big auction, several teams bid for the veteran bowler hat. Shami ended up selling to SRH for Rs 10 crore.
The 34-year-old pacemaker was the Purple Championship of the 2023 season when GT lost the final in its last ball thriller. He has played 67 wickets in the past three IPL seasons, making him one of the most successful bowlers recently.

Last year’s runner-up SRH will face the Rajasthan Royals on March 23 to open at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. The competition will begin at 3:30 pm.
