In other news, the Cricket Control Board of India (BCCI) is considering moving the IPL 2025 final to the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad to move it from the site of Eden in Kolkata. According to Cricbuzz, this potential change is mainly caused by unpredictable weather conditions in Kolkata.
The Narendra Modi Stadium is considered the largest cricket venue in the world with seating capacity of over 132,000 and has an outstanding history of hosting major cricket matches, including the IPL finals in 2022 and 2023, and the finals of the 2023 World Cup. Its state-of-the-art facilities and reliable track record in managing high-profile events make it a compelling candidate for hosting future finals.
Although BCCI has not yet officially announced the location of the IPL 2025 final, Ahmedabad’s strong infrastructure, extensive experience and good weather conditions regard it as a major contender for this prestigious event.
