IPL betting issues raised by Maharashtra Legislative Council

Danf, the opposition leader, spoke on Vidhan Parishad and accused senior police officers of the bet on a large scale. He said some people were involved in betting on IPL cricket matches and Mumbai police were covering them up.
Danve also submitted a pen drive to the Council President, which contained details of several conversations and betting assignments.
He said: “I have a pen drive with the phone details called “Lotus 24” used to bet in cricket. MehulJain, Kamles Jain and Hiren Jain have connections with Pakistani cricketers. It is involved with senior police officers of Mumbai police. At the Mumbai police station, the Mumbai police station is protected by the Mumbai police.
“The championship trophy is over and now this group is working for the IPL in Mumbai. Listen to the pen drive so that you know what you are doing when talking to people in Pakistan. You will also know the name of the police (the person involved).”
IPL is the most popular and wealthiest T20 cricket league in the world and was also struggling earlier due to betting controversy. In the 2013 IPL, Delhi police arrested three cricketers, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan arrested allegedly fixed and betting charges.
