IPS reorganization: State government amends May 9 order

The state government revised its May 9 order on Saturday, which is linked to the reorganization of several top IPS officials, allowing them to continue in early positions.

Mr. Ajithkumar will continue to serve as the other police chief of the armed police battalion. He has been appointed as the Excise Tax Commissioner under an earlier order. ADGP Balram Kumar Upadhyay, formerly director of the Kerala Police Academy (KEPA), will continue to serve as Director of Prisons and Correctional Services.

Mahipal Yadav, who served as the additional director-general of police (offending) will continue to serve as the Excise Tax Commissioner. K. Sethu Raman has been appointed as Police Inspector General and Chief of Prison and Correctional Services, and he will continue to serve as Kepa Director.

P. Prakash has been appointed as Police Inspector General (National Criminal Records Agency). A: Akbar has been appointed as Police Inspector General (Coastal Police).

ADGP (Headquarters) S. Sreejith has received all additional fees for network operations. ADGP (Law and Order) h. Venkatesh will be responsible for ADGP (crime). IG G. Sparjan Kumar has received all additional charges for positions in IG Crimes II (Ernakulam) and IG Crimes III (Kozhikode). He is currently an IG crime (Thiruvananthapuram).
