XR Creator Winners Transform Customer Experience with Immersive Techniques

Winners of XR Creator Hackathon, organized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in partnership with Wavelas, have been announced. There are five categories: healthcare and well-being, education transformation, immersive tourism, digital media and entertainment, and e-commerce – retail and transformation.
The winners are the Emo team led by Utkarsh Rai of prayagraj (UP); the XR runners are led by Vedanta Hazra (IIT Kharagpur of West Bengal); Lumexr led by Savio Menifer of Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala); Cognihab is led by Rishab Kapur of Gurugram; and the youth buzz led by Mohit Kumar Sharma of Delhi.
“With my teammates Sahil Patel and Shaurya Baranwal, we won the Education Transformation category under the supervision of Professor Kaushal Kumar Bhagat. Our winning project, Eduscapexr, aims to innovate education by providing stemming practice on a virtual reality platform,” Mr. Hazra said.
VR experiment
“In many high schools and universities across the country, students studying science often don’t have the opportunity to conduct practical experiments due to the high cost of laboratory equipment and infrastructure… With Eduscapexr, students can perform realistic, immersive experiments in VR using manual tracking technology and AI-based feedback,” he said.
Mr Kapoor said: “Cognihab is pioneering XR-driven rehabilitation solutions. Over the past five years, we have created a product suite of lazy eye, body rehabilitation and mental health solutions that have been used by over 100 temporary clinical practices in India for you to use in Kumar.”
Lumexr is a startup that develops immersive travel guides that allow interactive previews of destinations, making travel plans effective, informed and engaging. “From the comfort of the home, users can explore multiple locations, and brands unlock immersive marketing opportunities far beyond traditional manuals or videos,” Mr. Menifer said.
Its main features include map views with detailed 3D terrain, fixed attractions, virtual film projectors and photogrammetry captured by drone.
The Emo team, composed of Mr. Rai, Himanshu Mahto, Ashutosh Mishra and Ishita Guar, created a platform that uses AR and XR to enhance the home decor experience. “What makes it special is that everything is posted directly by interior designers and decorators, so users will not only find inspiration; they also find the right professionals to hire… Our journey through XR creator Hackathon 2025 is full of learning, growth and incredible teamwork. The feedback from mentors and judges in Phase 3 helped us in our horizon, which made us even more acute.”
Cross-platform game
Mr Sharma said thanks to their mentors, he and his youth buzz team members Anish Dombale, Shivam Raj and Yash Sadhukhan for developing a game, “It’s” that is a visionary game that spans the future of cross-platform immersive games and tactical simulations. We want to build players on different devices to unify games on different devices – VR, Mobile, Mobile, Console and PC-One Warterfield, He He He He He He He of Deskection-Deception-Devicess-Decepents of Devection inters of Devection-nime of Deskine of Deveration. The game is set against the backdrop of nine unknown men, a secret society believed to have been established by Emperor Ashoka.
34% of the finalists in the challenge came from first-tier cities such as Delhi and Bangalore, while 66% came from tier 2, as well as tier 3 cities such as Cheangsun, Manipal and Vilaval. The ages of participants ranged from 17 to 35 years old. About 53% of finalists are students, while 33% are working professionals. In addition, 14% of finalists were self-employed entrepreneurs, and 19% were women.
