Israel vows to “control” Gaza as ambulance enters two months later

On Monday, 22 countries, including Australia, the United Kingdom, France and Germany, demanded that Israel immediately “allow an immediate “to allow aid to fully restore aid to Gaza after a partial blockade on the territory.
The joint statement was published by Tom Fletcher, head of the UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, who said in a statement that nine trucks had been “cleared into…but it was an ocean of desperate need.”
Since March 2, with the overall lockdown of the Israeli blockade in the Gaza Strip, the World Health Organization says “2 million people are starving to death” in the besieged territory.
Israel, facing increasing criticism, announced it would allow aid restrictions on Gaza and said the first five trucks entered Monday with “food including babies.”
