Isuzu Motors India CV exports grow 24 pc to 20,312 units in fiscal 25

Mumbai, April 16 (PTI) Isuzu Motors India said on Wednesday that its commercial vehicle (CV) exports rose 24% to 20,312 units, the highest among CV exporters in the country in fiscal 25, compared with 16,329 units a year ago.

Isuzu Motors India said the company continues to expand Isuzu’s global presence by leveraging India as a strategic manufacturing base for India and export markets, especially playing a key role in the pickup category.

The company has a manufacturing plant in Sri city (Andhra Pradesh) and the facilities cater to the left-hand and right-hand drive markets in Asia and the Middle East, including Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Bahrain, Qatar, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Jordan.

“We are seeing a constant and growing demand for Isuzu cars made in India in major global markets. This strong export performance is a testament to world-class quality, reliability and performance made in India. Over the years, our export volumes have grown steadily and supported by a diverse portfolio.”

Isuzu Motors India began operations in 2016 and established the SRI City facility, which recently launched the 100,000th vehicle from the plant.

In 2020, the company began its Phase II operations, which included news store facilities and engine assembly plants.

The company said it has also expanded its domestic network touchpoint in recent months to bring the brand closer to its growing customer base.
