Aimplb vows to continue mass peaceful protests against WAQF legislation

Hyderabad
A group of people gathered on the large and huge ground at a protest meeting of the All-Indian Muslim Private Law Commission (AIMPLB) in Darussalaam on Saturday, most of whom were carrying flags and placards.
At the meeting, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi criticized the amendment to the WAQF Act and insisted that the Muslim group would continue its ruthless protests until the law was revoked.
“This protest is not only for the protection of our mosques, Edgars, cemeteries and WAQF lands. It is against resistance to trying to complete our regime,” Owasi said.
“Modi is not the beauty of India, diversity is”
“I not only tore this bill apart for Muslims, but to all Indians, Sikhs and Christians – believe in diversity and unity Indians, this is the beauty of our country. The beauty of India is not Narendra Modi.”
Mr Ovassi accused the BJP government of targeting the religious identity of Muslims since it came to power in 2014, including the Triple Tarak Act and the Citizenship Amendment. He said that the BJP is now raising the issue of Unified Civil Law (UCC).
He warned that the UCC was designed to dilute Islamic body law, and he invoked Dr. BR Ambedkar’s emphasis on the Islamic Application for Protection Act. He said: “Together with our Hindu and Sikh brothers, we form a chain of humanity. Our strength lies in our unity.”
He called on the public not to issue illness to Muslim Dawoodi Bohras. “They are our religious brothers. Modi misled people,” he said.
Mr Owaisi said Dawoodi Bohras himself refused to participate in the WAQF itself. “With Syedna [as their leader]they say there is no separate mutawalli. Harish’s defeat himself appears in front of the WAQF panel. ” he pointed out.
He demanded peaceful democratic resistance and urged the crowd to remain firm.
AIMPLB President Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani expressed strong caution over his “misunderstanding interpretation” of the Supreme Court’s latest observations on WAQF Properties.
“The court has not removed the WAQF amendment,” he said, adding: “If ASI takes over Mecca Masjid, 300, it will no longer be considered Waqf. Namaz does not allow – only tourism is allowed,” Maulana Rahmani said.
He said the board was representative of all Muslims: Sunnis, Shiites, Hanafi, All Hades and those associated with Sophie Dargas. “Our presence today reflects this solidarity. The government is trying to weaken the board and make people lose trust in it,” he said.
