Actor Shoaib Ibrahim recently posted an emotional video on YouTube, revealing that his wife, actress Dipika Kakar, was diagnosed with a tumor in her stomach. He shared that she plans to undergo a large-scale surgery at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai.
Shoaib explained in his video blog that Dipika was taken to the hospital a few days after complaining about severe stomach pain. Initially, the doctor prescribed antibiotics, which gave her some relief. However, the pain recovered, triggering further testing. That is when the tumor is detected, and the doctor recommends surgery immediately.
Shoaib Ibrahim shared in the video: “Dipika has a tumor on the left side of his liver. It’s big, about the size of a tennis ball. This news caused a huge shock to us.”

Shoaib further added: “Our doctor asked us to visit again and when we met him he asked us to have a CT scan, which showed that there was a tumor on the left side of Dipika’s liver. It was as big as a tennis ball. It was very shocking.”
Shoaib Ibrahim, known for Ajooni, shared more details about Dipika Kakar’s health in his video blog. He said he advised them to take her to the hospital immediately after consulting the doctor for her report. Their first concern is whether the tumor may be cancerous. Although the CT scan showed no signs of cancer, doctors were unable to confirm anything at that stage, so more tests were recommended.
Dipika was taken to a senior hospital, where she had been for the past three days. She performed multiple tests, including CT scans, ultrasound and blood tests. So far, although some test results are still awaiting, no cancer has been shown.
Shoaib added that the tumor is located on the left side of the liver and can be treated without surgery and needs to be removed. She was discharged from the hospital earlier today and Shoaib took her home.
Dipika Kakar will visit liver specialists this Friday to determine what she will do next in her treatment. Although the doctor advised her to consult at Kokilaben Hospital, Shoaib Ibrahim decided to take her home and thought she would recover better in a calm and familiar environment.
At present, there are no signs of cancer, but several diagnosis is still awaiting. A particularly important blood test is due tomorrow, and the couple is still hopeful and eager for a clear answer.
