Is RJD’s strategy to attract Muslims to Muslims before Bihar elections? Tejaswi Yadav vows to stop WAQF (Revised) bills at all costs

As all parties are preparing for the Bihar parliamentary elections, and every day Bihar politics is polarizing, RJD is already rushing to Muslims.
Rashtriya Janata Dal publicly objected when the BJP went all out to push the WAQF (Amendment) bill of 2025.

Tejaswi Yadav calls WAQF Bill “unconstitutional”
Tejashwi addressed the protesters, assuring them that his party and its leader, Lalu Yadav, stood firmly with them to fight the “unconstitutional” WAQF (Amendment) bill.
Tejaswi Yadav said of the massive rally against the bill: “RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav is here to support and strengthen you. We oppose this in Parliament, Vidhan Sabha and Vidhan Parishad in Parliament, Vidhan Sabha and Vidhan Parishad.
Speaking about his party’s struggle with the bill, he said: “Today, we made a motion for adjournment and asked for discussion, but the house was adjournment. We want to tell you that we stand with you on this issue…our efforts are to pass the bill at all costs.”
RJD: Will stop WAQF (Amendment) bills at all costs
He further said: “We are followers of the Constitution and we believe that Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb, and we will do our best to prevent the bill from passing anyway.”
Tejaswi Yadav’s powerful arrival on the BJP, and the government is working to split the country, demolish democracy and weaken the constitution. He also added that some parties are supporting the bill out of greedy power, but if people fight together, they will win.
AIMPLB protests against WAQF bill
The All-India Muslim Private Law Commission (AIMPLB) launched a national protest against the WAQF (Amendment) bill in Patna.
Earlier, Bharatiya Janata Party MP and JAGADAMBIKA PAL of the JPC WAQF Amendment Act criticized AIMPLB’s national incitement, accusing the board of directors of politicizing the issue.
“The Aimplb’s approach is to do politics in the name of WAQF, and they are trying to mislead the country’s minorities and Muslims,” Parr said.
BJP defends WAQF bill
He further resolved the dispute surrounding the bill, referring to the report of the Parliamentary Committee (JPC), which shows that the government is preparing to introduce the amended law.
The WAQF (Amendment) Act, 2024, aims to address key challenges by introducing reforms such as digitalization, enhanced auditing, increased transparency and legal mechanisms to recover illegally occupied property.
The proposed amendment is intended to ensure that WAQF property is used for its intended purposes, thus benefiting the Muslim community and the country as a whole.
