Condemning the attack on Dalit engineering student James, Tirupati, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chairman and former chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said the state has no Dalit safety as “the legal and order situation has been deteriorating.”
Jagan said in an article on Sunday X: “The incident shows that attacks on Dalits and the increasing situation in the country’s law and order (L&O) are not protecting weaker departments, as well as those who raise voices. Such incidents are happening because the police machinery is an attitude towards the dominant party and in some cases a certain attitude, and in some cases a certain attitude or attitude of an event. The police department is to report that a case was registered against the complainant,” he said.
He said that in the Tirupati incident, not only was the police department unable to register the case, but political intervention prevented the police from registering the case, adding: “I requested registration and litigation against those attacking the dait youth.”
