Karnataka CM writes to Rahul Gandhi

Siddaramaiah said in a letter to Congress leaders: “To this day, the references he tells about as the events faced by Dr. BR Ambedkar are indeed a pathetic reality.
The Chief Minister of Karnataka ensures that he and his government are committed to ensuring an equal and equal society, and we must work together to bring the Dalits, adivasis and backward classes to the mainstream. The oppressed classes must face any discrimination in our education system. ”
He added: “I have directed my legal counsel and team to prepare the draft Rohis Vimura Act, which will prevent discrimination from educational institutions.”
In his letter to Karnataka CM, Gandhi emphasized the discrimination faced by BR Ambedkar throughout his life and said Siddaramaiah would agree that the discrimination faced by Ambedkar is shameful and should not be tolerated by any child in India.
“It is regrettable that even today, millions of students in Dalit, Adivasi and OBC communities have to face this cruel discrimination in our education system,” he said. “The murder of bright young people like Rohith Vemula, Payal Tadvi and Darshan Solanki is simply not acceptable. It is time to put a firm end to this. I urge the Karnataka government to enact the Rohith Vemula Act so that no child of India has to face what Dr BR Ambedkar, Rohit Vemula and millions of others have had to endure,” the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha said in his letter.
Dalit’s student Rohith Vemula died of suicide due to discrimination based on caste.
