Jaipur Resort raised FIR to OYO after receiving a “error” GST notification of Rs 266 crore.

A resort in Jaipur proposed FIR to OYO owned by Ritesh Agarwal after receiving a GST notification notification of value, saying the travel booking platform provided “incorrect information” that caused the notification.

According to a report by the Indian Express, FIR was filed in a complaint by Madan Jain at the Ashok Nagar Police Station in Jaipur. Jain, who has contact with Samskara Resorts, said his hotel was delivered Rs 266 crore from the GST (Group and Service Tax) office.

At the time of writing, Livemint was unable to independently verify the report and had sought comments with Oyo. The story will be updated as soon as it gets a reply.

According to the Indian Express, Madan Jain of the Samskara Resort declared that “to show thousands of fake reservations are displayed under the name of Samskara Resort”.

It further details the resort’s service through online booking and on walk-in.

As part of their online booking, Samskara signed a 12-month agreement with OYO on April 18, 2019.

Jain alleged in FIR that OYO instead showed reservations at Samskara in fiscal years 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21.

FIR further claimed that on April 18, 2019 and April 20, 2020, Samskara Resorts conducted its business Rs 10.95 lakh from Oyo to Oyo, at that time it had already paid the travel aggregaters.

However, Oyo reportedly shows that it has done it Rs 222.2 crore was conducted with Samskara, prompting GST officials to send a reason for the performance 26,600 million and penalties.

Ritesh Agarwal is named in FIR?

He cited Oyo’s “bad records” and told Indian Express: “We have objected to this, showing 125 hotels outside the hotel, indicating that we also don’t accept Oyo reservations.”
