Jangoan police return 82 lost cell phone

Warangal:Jangoan police successfully recovered at a public event in the Jangaon district on Wednesday and threw 82 cell phones to their due owners. Deputy Chief of Police (DCP) Rajamahendra Nayak spoke during this period, urging citizens to report lost phones or despair using the Central Device Identity Register (CEIR) portal without losing hope.
He explained that the central government's CEIR program allows users to block lost calls by registering full details at https://www.ceir.gov.in. This greatly improves the chances of recovery.
For those unfamiliar with online programs, the DCP informed that a dedicated official was appointed to each police station’s CEIR portal. He advised individuals to approach the local police station and designated officials will assist them in registering lost phones on the portal and increasing their chances of recovery.
He warned the public not to buy used phones and urged everyone to use the CEIR portal as a safer alternative. The DCP also appreciates the efforts of the Jangaon area police officers to track and return lost equipment.
