Shivamogga Deputy Commissioner Gurudatta Hegade denied accusing the student of “Janivara” (“Sacred Line”) being cut off by the Guard on Friday in the center of the city.
However, two family guards at Lord Shiva’s Adichunchanagiri Academy were suspended for preventing students from entering the examination hall wearing the “Sacred Line” and were eventually allowed to enter the interior after the principal intervened.
The two were fired
Meanwhile, in Bidar, acting in two separate investigation reports, Deputy Commissioner Shilpa Sharma recommended firing the principal and a staff member of the Sai Spoorthi PU Academy, allegedly refusing to refusal to enter students who appeared wearing “Sacred Thread”.
The reports were submitted by Assistant Commissioner and Deputy Deputy Director of Education and found that Principal Chandrashekhar Biradar and Second Division Assistant Satish Pawar were responsible for the “improper” of the situation. Following instructions, the college rejected both.
However, the main secretary of higher education directed university management to suspend the services of the principal and staff and adopted disciplinary action and did not seek dismissal.
Event sequence
Mr Hegade said the sequence of events at the Shivamogga Center was described at the press conference, as clearly shown in CCTV camera video, a student volunteered to show the “sacred thread” he was wearing to the “sacred thread” he was wearing and asked the home guard if he allowed him to wear it. The Guard answered in a negative way, and the student himself deleted the thread. The guard said while checking another student that he could not appear in CET wearing a thread. However, the student refused to delete it. The principal who arrived at the location clarified that there was no bar wearing the thread and he was allowed to write the exam.
The lack of awareness prevented the students. “On the surface, religious sentiment appears to have been hurt due to the lack of awareness of security personnel. Two home guards have been suspended, awaiting further inquiries,” he said.
Members of Congress suspect conspiracy
Meanwhile, former MP and Congress leader Ugrappa claimed in a speech with Mysuru that during the debate in the socio-economic and educational survey report, he suspected that BJP supporters triggered the bank to widen the social divide. Mr Ugrapa said the matter should be investigated to raise the truth.
