Jasprit Bumrah Eyes Two Major Records With Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2025 Conflict

Mumbai Indians are fighting against Hyderabad’s Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Jasprit Bumrah approaches two important milestones in his T20 career.
Star Mumbai Indian (MI) pacemaker Jasprit Bumrah, who has only two wickets, nearly reached two major T20 career milestones, one of which will take him beyond his long-time teammates and legendary Sri Lanka and Lasith Malinga. When the Mumbai Indians fought against the struggling sunriser Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, everyone’s eyes will be focused on Boomra.
The talented Indian pacemaker is on the verge of a major achievement, only one wicket is needed to reach the 300 T20 wicket, and two wickets are to be his team’s all-time leading wicket in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Currently, Bumrah has 169 IPL wickets in 137 games, with an average of 22.68 and a best performance of 5/10. He is the ninth highest ticket inspector in IPL history and has two five tickets to his name. However, his long-time teammate and MI legend Maringa ranked eighth with 170 wickets, averaging 19.79 and 5/13 best ranks.
Meanwhile, Yuzvendra Chahal, now with the Punjab King (PBK), leads IPL into the historical wicket. He has a top performance of 5/40, averaging 214 wickets, an average of 22.63. If Bumrah gets another wicket, he will join Ravichandran Ashwin (315 wickets in 331 games), Bhuvneshwar Kumar (318 wickets in 302 games) and Chahal (373 wickets) as the fourth Indian to reach 300 T20 Wickets Mipestone.
For now, Bumrah has 299 wickets in 237 games, with an average of 20.51 and a best number of 5/10.
The record for the highest wicket in the T20s belongs to Afghan spinning sensation Rashid Khan, who has an impressive 640 wickets in 470 games, with an average of 18.34 and a best number of 6/17.
This IPL season, Bumra made a comeback against Royal Challenger Bengaluru (RCB). So far, he has averaged four wickets at 29.75, with an economic speed of 7.43, and his best number is 2/25.
