In a powerful message, sports broadcaster and Jasprit Bumrah’s wife Sanjana Ganesan criticized social media for laughing at their little kid Angad in an IPL match between the Mumbai Indians and the Lucknow Super Giants.
Ganesan called on people to stop assumptions about their son based on a brief shot.
She wrote about getting Instagram stories “Our son is not a topic of entertainment for you. Jasprit and I did everything to keep Angad away from social media because the internet is a mean, evil place and I fully understand the meaning of bringing kids to a cricket stadium full of cameras, but please understand, Angad and I are there to support Jasprit and anything else.”
Ganesan also criticized users for using mental health terms such as “depression” to describe Angad, 1.5.
“It’s really sad that so much about being a community in words like trauma and depression. You know nothing about our son, nothing about our lives, and I ask you to be loyal to it,” she said.
Meanwhile, on Sunday, Jasprit Bumrah became the top ticket inspector for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL, helping his team win 54 against LSG.
Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan ended their end in 2021 and welcomed their son Angad in September 2023. The star couple resumed their fourth anniversary in March.
