Srinagar: Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi visited the advancement zone of Jamu and Kashmir’s Line of Control (LOC) on Thursday to interact with officials and Javanese to appreciate their critical role in defending the country during their recent escalation with Pakistan and demonstrated dedication, courage and selflessness.
The Defense spokesman said here that the Army Chief visited the advance site of the Dagger Division, headquartered in Srinagar, the 15th Corps headquartered in Srinagar, also known as Chinar Corps-, and interacted with all teams.
The spokesman said that in his speech to the troops, the Army Chief praised their “heroic, Josh (spiritual) and vigilant actions, which ruled the LOC in the ‘Sindoor Operation’ operation.

Meanwhile, schools and other educational institutions in the five border areas of the Jamu region reopened on Thursday as India needs to close eight days after Operation Sindoor – Pakistan upgraded.
After the local safety assessment, the students and teachers returned to schools in selected areas of the Chamu, Samba, Katua, Rajuri and Pornchi areas, officials said.
The School Education Bureau issued a reopening order directing school leaders and regional education officials (ZEOS) to implement security protocols and coordinate closely with the authorities.
