Amitabh Bachchan and Vidhu Vinod Chopra collaborated with 2007 action drama Eklavya: Royal Guard. Amitabh’s wife and actress Jaya Bachchan warned him that he would not tolerate filmmakers for more than a week. Bachchan and Chopra do fight in the movie scene, but the superstar goes on and finishes the shooting. The director impressed him so much that he gave him Rolls Royce worth Rs 450 crore, and his mother photographed him.

Vidhu shared his experience working with Amitabh, telling Siddharth Kannan in an interview: “When we made Eklavya, Amitabh Bachchan brought a suitcase to the two-month schedule. “No, Jaya told me “You can’t stand Vinod for more than a week”. Ten days later, Jaya’s prediction did come true, and Vidhu and Amitabh fought in 10 days. “But, since he didn’t leave and finish the entire movie, I gave him a Rolls Royce worth Rs 450 crore because he tolerated me and did a great job in the movie.”

The twelfth failed director further elaborates on how his mother scolded him because he himself owned a blue Maruti van that gifted the luxurious car to Sholay Star. Vidhu Vinod Chopra added: “I will never forget this. When I gave the car to Amitabh, I brought my mother. She gave him the key. She came back. She came back and sat in my car, which was a blue Maruti van. Her name was Big B’Lamboo. I didn’t have a driver at the time, so I was driving. She replied: “I can buy a car myself, I must laugh.” I will never forget this because if that doesn’t bring you joy, what money is that. ”

In addition to Amitabh Bachchan, Eklavya also starred in the lead roles of Saif Ali Khan, Sharmila Tagore, Sanjay Dutt, Vidya Balan, Raima Sen, Jackie Shroff, Jimmy Shergill, Jimmy Shergill and Boman Iranians. The film failed at the box office but won positive reviews and was selected as the official entry of the Oscar in India’s Best Foreign Film Category, but failed to receive a nomination.
