Jayathilak serves as Kerala’s next chief secretary

Thiruvananthapuram: Dr. A. Jayathilak, an IAS official in 1991, was appointed as the next secretary of Kerala. He will replace incumbent CS Sarada Muraleedharan.

Jayathilak is expected to serve in the state’s highest bureaucratic position until he retires in June 2026.

Jayathilak, who belongs to Kerala cadre, is currently the additional chief secretary (financial). He held several key positions in the state bureaucracy. Chairman of International Pepper Community, Managing Director of the Tourism Committee of Chhattisgarh.
