Jayesh Ranjan says Telangana cybersecurity remains key

Hyderabad: On December 12, 2023, Russian intelligence hackers hacked into Ukraine's largest telecommunications network Kyivstar, which reportedly eliminated data from almost all systems, causing 40% of digital infrastructure to be damaged. Nearly 24 million users of the mobile network stopped receiving siren and SMS alerts during air strikes by Russian troops.

This cyber attack is not just “the biggest and the worst”. It is the latest example of how war is no longer just physical attacks, but physical and digital attacks.

Tensions between India and Pakistan rose in the wake of the Pahargam attack, with terrorists from Rashkar Etayaba killed 26 innocent civilians, and the threat to cyberspace became a major issue.

Pakistani hackers have reportedly hacked several Indian defense websites and obtained sensitive data. The hacker was exposed through the handle of X (formerly Twitter) under the name “Pakkistan Network Power”.

However, we ask everyone to remain calm. The biggest weapon to fight cyber attacks is to get people to pay attention to any unknown phone calls or links.

An imminent threat to any country or country that is cyberattack is the deletion of information. Jayesh Ranjan said shortly after a person realizes that they are part of a cyber attack, they should communicate because doing so infrequently can make the situation worse, further making the victims more vulnerable.

“Once you know the pattern, cybercrime can be resolved. To know this pattern, the victim organization must communicate with us. In a war-like situation, priority should not be the reputation of an institution or an individual. So if in such a critical situation, especially in such a critical situation, always communicate whether the institution is being communicated,” said Jayesh Ranjan.
