JD (U) Sanjay Jha seeks to change the WAQF amendment, “If the issue is resolved, the bill will be supported”

“What we worry about is that[the bill]should not be reviewed. If our concerns are met, then let the bill come and we will definitely support the bill.”
JD (U) leader Rajiv Ranjan Prasad said: “In the case of JD (U), most of the recommendations made during the JPC meeting were reportedly included.
He added: “We will illustrate our position in Parliament.
RJD MP Manoj Kumar Jha criticized the WAQF bill, saying it violated the constitution.
“Every constitutional basis was violated. We (the opposition) even said during the peasant movement that we should not be hasty. However, they (the central government) took a quick action. What happened then? (three agricultural laws) should not be withdrawn here either. The same should not happen. Oppose the bill. “For the sake of Muslims, for the benefit of the poor, this bill is constitutional…the people who oppose the bill are anti-Muslims,” Singh added.
The bill will be raised after today’s question hours for consideration and passage. After this, an 8-hour discussion will be held, but will be added. The bill was introduced in Lok Sabha last August and then a joint parliamentary committee was formed under Jagdambika Pal for further consideration.
The bill aims to amend the WAQF Act of 1995 to correct problems and challenges in regulating and managing WAQF property.
The Amendment Act aims to improve the management and management of WAQF property in India. It aims to overcome the shortcomings of the previous behavior and to improve the efficiency of the WAQF board by introducing changes to the bill, updating the definition of WAQF, improving the registration process and improving the role of technology in managing WAQF records.
The WAQF Act of 1995, which aims to regulate WAQF property, has long been criticized for issues such as mismanagement, corruption and embezzlement.
