Tamil Nadu Congress Committee Chairman K. Selvaperunthagai led the “Jai Hind Yatra” in Egmore, Chennai on Friday evening (9 May 2025) to show unity and support for the Indian armed forces fighting along the location.
Mr Selvaperunthagai said in the interview that similar rally was held in the state capitals of India to show appreciation for the soldiers defending the country.
“The TNCC will also attend a rally organized by Chief Minister MK Stalin (Saturday),” he said.
Mr. Selvaperunthagai further said: “The peaceful rally is to tell the armed forces that we are there for them.”
