JK parliament holds special meeting to condemn Pahalgam attack

Check mu: Amid the nationwide anger and condemnation of Pahalgam terrorist attacks in Jamu and Kashmir on April 22, the Jamu and Kashmir Parliament held a special meeting on Monday to express condolences to the victims and condemn the bill.

The session is being attended by all the members of the Legislative Assembly, including Leader of the Opposition Sunil Sharma, Independent MLA from Baramulla Sheikh Abdul Rashid, AAP J&K President Mehraj Malik, National Conference leader Mubarak Gul, J&K Minister Javed Dar, Peoples Democratic Party leader Waheed Para, Awami Ittehad Party leader Khurshid Ahmad Sheikh and others who arrived at the earlier today.

Opposition leader Sharma told reporters at a special meeting that the agenda of the meeting was to express condolences to the 26 people who died in the attack and united with the coalition government to combat terrorism and provide it.

“The agenda of the meeting is clear. We will express our condolences to these 26 people who have had their best moments as tourists… Unfortunately, it caused a shock among all Indians and opposed the attack, we are united, and we are here to unite… The purpose of the meeting is to introduce the scope of terrorists and Jammuir on terrorists in New York State. People based on religious differences.

Asked if any solution about the attack will be proposed during the meeting, J&K LOP said: “We don’t know which solution will be proposed here today, but we fully supported the CM’s resolution at the full party meeting… We would be happy if they proposed such a solution here.”

Meanwhile, Khurshid Ahmad Sheikh, leader of the Awami Ittehad party, called for talks with Pakistan on the issue and to build a memorial for the Pony’s Handler Adil, who sacrificed his life.

“We also said that negotiations should be conducted (with Pakistan). The solution will only be achieved through conversations… unless you talk, people will continue to die… We not only condemn the attack, but we also protested, we also condemn it. Not only will it be condemned in the house, but we hope that the commemoration is to commemorate those commemorations, we should also punish the trial, not be judged there. Problem,” Sheikh said.
AAP MLA MEHRAAJ MALIK also said that India should not engage in a water war with Pakistan, but rather give them the appropriate answer to the attack.

“The whole world is condemning and mourning the attack. It is necessary to discuss events at today’s conference. The country is united today… First, we need to give Pakistan an answer, and then, there will be a scope of conversation, and we will not give them answers through conversation… We have to store our strength to them, and we don’t need to fight in a range of 3-4 days, we don’t need so many people. The attack was one of the deadliest attacks in the valley since the 2019 Pulwama strike, with 40 CRPF Jawans killed.

India has taken strong measures against Pakistan in support of cross-border terrorism following the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
